Feature Explained: KardiaAlert

Sometimes it’s all about the bigger picture. That’s why we developed KardiaAlert, an exclusive KardiaCare feature that detects changes in your EKGs over time, so you have the real data you need to be proactive about your heart health.

Here's how it works...

KardiaAlert works in the background, so you may not notice anything different in the Kardia app. But rest assured, it’s scanning your EKGs for subtle changes and will alert you immediately if one is detected. Here’s a breakdown of how KardiaAlert works.

1. 1. If you’re a KardiaCare or KardiaCare Plus member, you’ll be prompted to set a “baseline” EKG in the Kardia app. This sets a benchmark for KardiaAlert to compare subsequent EKGs against.


2. 2. Once your baseline is set, KardiaAlert will start analyzing your future EKG recordings and compare it against your baseline EKG to search for changes. Note: KardiaAlert does not retroactively scan EKGs recorded prior to your baseline being set.


3. 3. If a potential change is detected, your recorded EKG is automatically sent to a cardiologist for further review.


4. You’ll receive a report back from the cardiologist in 24 hours or less and can use the information to make more informed care decisions with your own doctor.
